The 19th Amendment
The 19th Amendment was written by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, in 1878. This was a document that was brought to the attention of Congress. It's goal was for all women to have the right to vote. Forty one years after the document was brought to congress they released it to the states for ratification. A year later on August 18, 1920, the document was ratified. The 19th Amendment took forty two years to become part of the United States Constitution.
